Pisgah Ridge Records is pushing out a single from Heart On The Run, their recently-released Gospel project from New River Bluegrass.
The song is I Was There, a lovely ballad written by Dick Gaskin which showcases the band’s vocal strengths.
New River Bluegrass is Barry Long on banjo and reso guitar, Mike Johnson on guitar, Chuck Price on fiddle, Dwayne Brown on bass, Andy Smith on lead guitar, and Mike Mullins on mandolin. All six take their turns singing lead and harmony vocals.

The single is included on the March Crossroads Music Airplay sampler, which can be downloaded by radio programmers from the label’s web site.
