Billy Blue Records has released the title track of their new album with Carson Peters & Iron Mountain, Hold On Heart, as their latest single.
It’s a good time, feel good song that Peters wrote and sings, revealing the personality that has made Carson irresistible since he was just a wee lad. Add in some funky, Eddie Adcock-inspired banjo and you’ve got a hit song.
Peters says everything about this one has been a treat.
“Hold On Heart was such a fun song to write and is one of my favorites to perform live. It’s always a good thing when a song written with your buddies (Ethan Phillips, Davis Loose, Justin Dukes) just for fun turns into the title track of your album! As the title suggests, it’s a tune about a man having a conversation with his heart, making it quite relatable.
I hope everyone enjoys listening as much as we did recording it!”
With Carson singing lead and playing fiddle, we also hear Ben Marshall on guitar, James McDowell on banjo, Austin Tate on mandolin, and Eric Marshall on bass. The Marshalls also join in on harmony vocals.
