Get your SiriusXM bluegrass online

We heard this morning from Ned Luberecki, noted banjo monster and radio host extraordinaire, with news about a new feature at SiriusXM, where he broadcasts regularly on Bluegrass Junction (Channel 61).

The satellite radio company has been expanding its online offerings, with subscription packages for folks who prefer to access their wide array of content over the Internet. Online subscriptions allow access by computer, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and compatible Android devices with a free app.

A new On Demand feature has been added as well, where selected programs are available at your convenience, either for instant streaming, or for download to your computer or handheld for a limited period of time.

Ned wanted to let us know that his weekly show, Derailed, is among the programs offered On Demand. Two episodes are up now on the SiriusXM site, including his most recent with guest Alison Brown. The show can be heard in the regular radio stream on Saturdays at 10:00 p.m. and Tuesdays at 12:00 a.m. (all times Eastern).

Bluegrass Junction’s Gospel Train is also listed as an On Demand feature.

Internet subscriptions can be purchased on their own, or added to a standard radio package. For more information about Sirius XM Internet radio options, visit their web site.
