East Nash Grass has announced the addition of guitarist Frank Rische, stepping into the spot perviously occupied by founding member James Kee.
Frank has been a prominent guitar slinger in Nashville for some time, working recently with Jason Carter and Bronwyn Keith Hynes. He has recorded with a number of prominent artists as well, including Sierra Ferrell, Lee Ann Womack, Miranda Lambert, and JIm Lauderdale.
Like so many bluegrass artists, Rische grew up in a musical family, and played as a young man with his three sisters in a band called Jypsi (pronounced “gypsy”). This was a country group, discovered by Cowboy Jack Clement, and signed to Arista Records, but their single album was unable to develop the necessary traction and they disbanded in 2009.
He joins the three remaining East Nash Grass founders Maddie Denton on fiddle, Harry Clark on mandolin, and Cory Walker on banjo for a very busy summer season.
Check their schedule online and try to catch them when they come your way.
