Feedback from SiriusXM

sirius_xm_bluegrass_junctionLate yesterday evening we heard back from SiriusXM, following our story Wednesday morning about their decision to preempt Bluegrass Junction (Channel 61) with Hanukkah music from December 8-14.

The response came from Patrick Reilly, Senior Vice President of Communications, who shared this comment…

“Bluegrass Junction will return to channel 61 on December 15. As with our other holiday channels, Radio Hanukkah is a temporary channel for the holiday season that takes the place of an existing channel for a short time (for instance, Holly took over Velvet last month). In the meantime, Bluegrass Junction remains available on smartphones and other connected devices as well as online at siriusxm.com.”

Readers may also be interested in signing a Change.org petition that Donna Hughes has started asking SiriusXM to reconsider this holiday switchover. It seems to be picking up some steam, and some of the comments are hilarious, like this one from Esther Prosser in Moncton, Canada.

“it’s the only channel we listen too and we are too dam old to figure out how to even change the channel …if this is going to happen we will cancel our subscription”
