Dennis Jones, host of Goin’ Across The Mountain radio show Saturdays on WNCW, tells us that he will feature an Earl Scruggs birthday tribute on tomorrow’s program.
Earl’s big day was actually yesterday (1/6), when he celebrated his 87th birthday.
In addition to a fine sample of Scrugg’s vast catalog, Dennis will replay an interview he did with Earl a few years ago. Jones was a friend of Horace Scruggs, Earl’s older brother, and is sure to tell some of the many stories Horace has shared with him about he and Earl growing up in North Carolina.
