Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and The Roys will be performing on the 18th Annual ICM Faith, Family & Country Awards this Thursday evening in Nashville.
The awards honor inspirational country and bluegrass music, sometimes described as “positive country,” a style that intersects the pop country and Christian music markets.
In addition to a bluegrass specific category, a number of bluegrass artists received nominations this year. The Roys are nominated for Entertainer of the Year and Vocal Duo, and Doyle and the boys earned a Vocal Group or Band nod. Ricky Skaggs and Vince Gill were both also nominated for Musician.
