Popular old time/bluegrass group Dehlia Low has announced that they are coming off the road in 2012 to dedicate more time to new families.
In a statement released this afternoon, the band indicates that the hectic schedule they endured last year following the success of their Rebel CD, Ravens & Crows, left them all with a hankering to get away from the craziness for a bit.
“We’re writing to let you know that as 2011 was our busiest touring season so far, we’ve decided to slow down a bit in 2012. With that in mind, we’re going to take a touring hiatus at least through most of 2012. A few of us – excitedly – will be welcoming new editions into our families this summer, some of us plan to spend more time with our existing families, and some of us are pursuing some side project dreams.
We WILL be at Merlefest in April (and are looking forward to it!), and will continue to play some local/regional gigs this year, but will mainly be focused on our families for now.
Keep an eye out for our future musical endeavors, with Dehila Low, and otherwise. As always, thank you so much for the support, encouragement and love.”
