More news from David Parmley

Hot on the heels of his recent announcement of a renewed focus on touring and recording in 2011, comes word of a new partnership with the Lake Cumberland Bluegrass Festival. Starting with their 8th annual event (August 19th and 20th at Indian Hills KOA Campground in Russell Springs, KY), Parmley and Continental Divide will serve as the Lake Cumberland host band.

David is delighted with this new venture for the band.

“Being selected as host band for this wonderful event signals our clear intention to aggressively reassert ourselves in the bluegrass community.

We have been involved with this festival musically and have watched it grow in size and stature since day one. Needless to say, we are proud to have an expanded role in 2011.”

Festival chair Moochie Hart says that David and Continental Divide are a perfect fit.

“Our crowd loves hard driving, traditional bluegrass and no one better fits that bill than these guys. We felt like we couldn’t go wrong teaming with David. We feel really honored to have them with us this year.”

Full details on the Lake Cumberland fest can be found online.
