Curly Seckler update

Last week we told you that Curley Seckler had undergone a triple bypass operation. Today, we can provide an update courtesy of his manager, Penny Parsons ……..

“Curly Seckler continues to make progress in his recovery from triple bypass surgery on April 5. I spoke with Curly last night and he had arrived home around mid-day on Sunday.  He had already been practicing walking from the living room to the kitchen.  He was looking forward to having a bowl of soup and sleeping in his own bed!

He is feeling upbeat, and is looking forward to getting back out to play music again. He wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and messages of support.

Unfortunately, the protocol for recovering heart surgery patients will not allow Curly to travel to perform at two scheduled concerts on April 30 in Kenbridge, Virginia, and May 1 in Spring Hope, North Carolina. We hope to reschedule these shows for later in the year.”

Seckler remains positive though ……….

“He’s looking forward to going to the Pioneers Gathering in Owensboro in June. His good friend Tommy Scott will be there. Tommy’s 93rd birthday is June 24 (the day of the Gathering)!”

Please check Curly’s website for further updates.
