Blueridge Music Hall of Fame 2010

Blue Ridge Music Hall of FameThe Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame has announced their 2010 inductees. Located in the Wilkes Heritage Museum, Wilkesboro, NC, the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame aims to preserve the rich musical heritage of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wilkesboro, NC is a fairly central location for the geographic area of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which range from Northern Georgia to Northern Virginia.

The Hall of Fame educates, defines and interprets the history of music in the Blue Ridge area and musicians in all genres from the region with exhibits and an annual celebration of inductees.

The festivities this year will include the Induction Ceremony and Dinner this Saturday, June 12th, at the John A. Walker Center in Wilkesboro, NC. Mike Cross will serve as the Master of Ceremonies, The Snyder Family Band will entertain those in attendance during the dinner hour, and Terry and Cindy Baucom will both serve as presenters.

During the Induction Ceremony there will be additional performances by Bobby Hicks, Dale Reno, and more.

Don Reno – 2010 Nationally Known Artist
Clarence “Tom” Ashley – 2010 Pioneer Artist
Bobby Hicks – 2010 Sidemen and Regional Musicians
Albert Hash – 2010 Luthiers
“B” Townes III – 2010 Special Contributors
Etta Baker – 2010 Master Musicians and Tradition Bearers
