You know what they say about the best laid plans…
If you were listening in to WAMU’s Bluegrass Country on Tuesday afternoon to catch the live interviews from IBMA, you noticed that a technical glitch shut them down for about an hour and a half. The problem was back home in DC, where their T1 connection failed, resulting in much consternation from Production Director Jen Hitt, who was pressed into on-air duties for the duration of the outage.
But they were back on line before long, and having recorded everything from Nashville, the show went on a bit behind schedule.
Jen assures us that all is now well, and that the Wednesday lineup from IBMA should go forward without a hitch. If not, blame Sprint.

There are a number of new acts in this list who deserve your attention, in addition to the established bluegrass stars. David Grindstaff is an especially talented singer, and both Sweet Potato Pie and Rockin’ Acoustic Circus have built strong followings on the road.
