Big E Bluegrass — Bluegrass Returns To Its Roots!

Owensboro’s Executive Inn Rivermont has announced the line-up for the 6th Annual Bluegrass Returns To Its Roots Festival and invites people to come back to where it all began.

The event takes place at the Executive Inn Rivermont on Executive Boulevard close to the banks of the Ohio River in Owensboro, Kentucky, about an hour’s drive north of Bill Monroe’s birthplace in Ohio County. While the event extends over four days from April 12th to 15th, the concerts featuring Cherryholmes, The Isaacs, Bobby Osborne & Rocky Top Express, Mike Cleveland & the Flame Keeper Band, featuring Audie Blaylock, J D Crowe & the New South and Steep Canyon Rangers take place during the Friday and Saturday of that weekend. Preceding the concerts will be a Battle Of The Bands, which takes place on the main stage on Thursday and the event will conclude with a Bluegrass Brunch on the hotel’s patio. More acts will be announced in due course.

The Executive Inn offers a special bluegrass rate for a room with breakfast buffet. Reservations can be made by contacting the hotel on 800 – 626 – 1936, or on their web site.
