Bankesters on Blue Plate Special

The singing Bankester Family will be featured on today’s (7/2) edition of Blue Plate Special on WDVX. The show originates from Knoxville and airs at noon (EDT). You catch hear it over the air at 102.9 FM, or online at www.wdvx.org.

Cruz Contreras and Trisha Gene Brady will also perform live on this afternoon’s show.

Papa Phil Bankester tells us that they have had a busy week on the road, traveling from their home in Illinois.

“I just got a front end alignment done on our van in preparation of the trip east. We played at the Red White & Bluegrass Festival in Morganton, NC on Wednesday, along with New Found Road and The Boxcars. We’re stopping in Knoxville on our way home to play the Blue Plate Special.”
