AKUS tour – Target bonus CD

Alison Krauss & Union Station have announced the summer tour schedule, starting June 4, in support of their latest recording, Paper Airplane.

Things kick off with 2 days in Louisville, KY followed by a stop at Bonnaroo on 6/11 and a west coast and Canadian jaunt. The current itinerary has them out almost non-stop through mid-September. Alison has not been out with Union Station for several years, so eager fans are surely queuing up for tickets.

An exclusive marketing agreement has also been announced with retail giant Target, who will offer a deluxe edition of Paper Airplane for sale through their stores. It will include six additional tracks not found on the regular retail CD. Three are recent studio cuts – These Days and A Place Outside (Angel Snow/Viktor Krauss); Frozen Fields (Jeff Black/Jon Randall) – and the other three are live versions of We Hide & Seek, Faraway Land and Every Time You Say Goodbye.

Pre-orders for the CD can be placed now at Target.com.

You can do a complete listen to the whole CD on the Folk Alley web site at NPR.com.
