Aaron Williams checks in

Event Details

We got a end-of-the-year note today from Aaron Williams, the talented young mandolinist who had spent the past few years touring with Kenny & Amanda Smith. He wanted to let all his bluegrass friends know what he is up to these days.

“Hello all! I would like to take the time to formally let everyone know that I am no longer in the Kenny & Amanda Smith Band. I felt it was time to take a break from the road, and shift my focus towards pursuing an education. I would like to sincerely say thanks to Kenny and Amanda for the opportunity and experience gained. Thanks also to all the wonderful people I met while traveling with the band.

I am beginning my second semester of college soon, but am still open to fill-in dates, recording sessions, and lessons. I can be reached by email at [email protected].

I look forward to seeing you all somewhere down the bluegrass road, and wish everyone a wonderful 2010!”

Aaron is living now in Blacksburg, VA. You can hear audio samples from his solo CD, Inside, on his MySpace page.

Spencer Strickland is now playing mandolin with Kenny & Amanda.
