A Natural Thing from Audie Blaylock

Hard Country

Rural Rhythm has dropped a debut single from Hard Country, this summer’s scheduled release from Audie Blaylock and Redline.

The songs is A Natural Thing, written by the late Harley Allen, and featuring Audie on lead vocal and guitar. He is joined by members of his touring band (Russ Carson on banjo and Patrick McAvinue on fiddle), plus guests Jessie Brock on mandolin and Jason Moore on bass.

As you might expect, it’s a hard-hitting, contemporary bluegrass arrangement.

Audie said that the album’s title perfectly describes what is found in the tracks.

“I chose the name Hard Country because I think it really defines the music on this disc. It still has that hard-driving bluegrass edge – then changes into slower paced ballad type songs as well, which really show cases the versatility of this band. It also shows just how closely bluegrass and country music are related.”

A Natural Thing is available to radio programmers on Rural Rhythm’s current Fresh Cuts & Key Tracks sampler, and via Airplay Direct, along with new singles from Carrie Hassler and Bobby Osborne.
