Congratulations to Adalyn Ramey, a 14-year-old from Paintsville, KY, who was honored for Bluegrass Song of the Year at the Hollywood Independent Music Awards last week.
The award was for Angel at the Crossroads, which Adalyn recorded earlier this year. It was announced on July 30 during the HIMA ceremony in Los Angeles.
She has been singing on stage since she turned five, and signed her first record contract at age 11 with Dreamland Entertainment in Nashville, who produced the winning single. In just the past three years, the young Miss Ramey has received almost 40 awards and nominations from independent music organizations all over the US.
And there’s more to come. She is nominated in four categories in the Independent Singer/Songwriter Awards, to be given out on August 22 in Atlanta, and in six categories in September’s Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry House.
In case you missed Angel at the Crossroads back in March, here it is again.
Well done young lady, and keep it going!
