The 5th annual Abingdon Fiddlers Convention began with a pre-convention barbecue dinner and jam session on Thursday evening at The Martha Washington Inn & Spa in downtown Abingdon. Friday evening saw the bluegrass and old-time gospel band competitions being held, as well as the new vocal duet competition.
