BluegrassFM Connects Veterans Day & Bluegrass

Event Details

Bluegrass FM 89.5 Fredericksburg, VA and 91.7 Lynchburg, VA broadcast a five and a half minute Veterans Day feature with Master Chief Musician and unit leader Wayne Taylor of the U.S. Navy Band’s “Country Current” country-bluegrass group during its morning drivetime show on Monday November 12.

Host & Station Manager Pete Stover interviewed Taylor who has served the band as MC, guitarist and lead vocalist for 20 years. The longer interview will be presented in an upcoming special broadcast prior to Taylor’s retirement from the military in March 2008.

Taylor performed with Bill Emerson and the Sweet Dixie Band over the Veterans Day weekend in Strasburg, VA during the new band’s CD release party. He will join the band after he returns to civilian life next year.
