New 4th Sundays Santa Cruz Bluegrass and Old Time Jam

Event Details

Hi all! Shirley Tudor and I are organizing a new jam in Santa Cruz. When you get back from Grass Valley, keep the the joy going by coming out to the jam!

This is a friendly jam where everyone who plays bluegrass and old time can get together and pick and get to know one another. Visiting pickers from out of town are welcome.

Of course, combining bluegrass and old time in one jam circle wouldn’t work too well! So there are at least three (3!) separate circles at the jam:
* A slow jam
* An advanced bluegrass jam
* An old time jam. (If there are enough old time pickers, they may want to split into advanced and beginning circles as well.)

WHEN: the jam is the 4th Sunday of every month, starting at 2pm.

WHERE: Oceanview Park (Just off Broadway, east of Ocean St.) The address is 102 Ocean View Ave, Santa Cruz, CA.

WHAT to BRING: Your instrument, your family, and maybe some snacks.

FACILITIES: Oceanview park has bathrooms, drinking fountains, a new playground that is great for the kids, large shade trees and lots of lawn with a view of (you guessed it!) the ocean. It does not have lots of parking, so you may need to unload your stuff, park, then walk back.
