Butch

Event Details

I was fortunate enough to have attended a few of Butch’s performances and had 2 or 3 chance meetings with him at the very first Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival, in Guthrie, Oklahoma.  I had two long, friendly conversations with him while standing on the front steps of the Masonic Hall in Guthrie.  What a fine gentleman he was; his music and personality have had a lasting impression on me.  I am saddened by his passing, and hope to see him again in heaven one day.
