Béla Fleck will be an in-studio guest today (4/9) on the Kojo Nnamdi Show (WAMU FM).
He will talk about the African roots of today’s modern five string banjo, his journey of discovery to west Africa in 2005, and Throw Down Your Heart, the film and audio CD that captured his African musical collaborations.
The show airs from noon to 2:00 p.m. weekdays on WAMU in Washington, DC and streams live at wamu.org. Béla’s segment is scheduled to being at 1:30 (EDT).
