2010 NEA National Heritage Fellowships Concert

Event Details

This past Friday (9/24) saw the 2010 NEA National Heritage Fellowships Concert held in Bethesda, MD. This is an annual event, honoring the various recipients of each year’s substantial fellowship awards.

Among the 2010 recipients were bluegrass icons, Del McCoury and Jim “Texas Shorty” Chancellor, both of whom were featured on the show. The good folks at the National Endowment for the Arts were kind enough to send along a few photos from Friday’s concert for us to share on Bluegrass Today.

The entire concert was filmed, and video has been posted on YouTube. All of the 2010 Fellows are brought up to perform and be interviewed, and both Del and Shorty get to play a few songs.
