Event Details

Karl Shiflett & Big Country Show are giving a special performance in Lubbock, TX on April 22 as a benefit for the family of Jake Jenkins.

Jake, a former member of Big Country Show, was killed late last month when his vintage airplane crashed shortly after takeoff. He leaves behind a wife and three young children.

The concert will be held at The Cactus Theater (1812 Buddy Holly Ave., Lubbock, TX), with Travers Chandler & Avery County opening the show.

Anyone who is unable to attend, but would like to make a donation in support of Jake’s family, can send a check to:

Jake was only 40 years old when he passed, and his children also lost their Jenkins grandparents in the crash. He was a fine man as well as a terrific banjo player.
