Steve and the Rangers live at the White House

Event Details

Tonight’s (5/11) poetry celebration at the White House, which will include an appearance by Steve Martin and Steep Canyon Rangers, will be broadcast live online.

Rangers’ banjo man Graham Sharp told us that they were asked to perform an arrangement they created with Martin of an Auden poem set to bluegrass.

This event will be hosted in the East Room by both the President and First Lady, and President Obama is expected to deliver remarks. It is scheduled to begin at 7:10 p.m. (EDT), with the video stream available at www.whitehouse.gov.
