Telluride – day one

Event Details

Here is the first photo-report from Jason Lombard, on the ground at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.

Let me introduce myself by letting everyone know that Telluride Bluegrass is my favorite festival. There, I said it… it is done.

I am biased I suppose, maybe because I am not only a Coloradoan, but also a Southern Coloradoan. San Juan mountain range, the Sangre de Christo range is my “home turf.”  When I think of Colorado, I think of this region. And it just so happens that Telluride is in the San Juans, and these mountains are my home.

When you add a festival like this to the mix, the combo can not be beat. The music, the altitude, the people, the town, and the friends.

Thursday was really spectacular and it is only getting started. I think the saying goes “It is not a sprint, it is a marathon”, well here it feels like a sprint the distance of a marathon.
