Nobody Knows You - Steep Canyon Rangers

Nobody Knows You - Steep Canyon RangersSteep Canyon Rangers have released their first scripted music video, for the song Long Shot from their recent Nobody Knows You album.

The new video is being hosted by CMT.com, and is included in the weekly voting at CMT’s Pure 12-Pack Countdown, where viewers vote each week for their favorite vids. There are also videos there from Sierra Hull, Sarah Jarosz, Trampled By Turtles, Carolina Chocolate Drops and Bearfoot if you want to slide over there and vote for the home team.

Rangers banjo player Graham Sharp tells us that they shot this one close to home.

“The video required a party scene, so we invited a bunch of folks to a barn outside of Brevard, NC and had a good time shooting our very first music video. The Obsidian Collective from Hendersonville, NC did all the filming and production.

The drummer sitting in on the video is Jeff Sipe of Leftover Salmon, Aquarium Rescue Unit and Phil & Friends fame.”
