Event Details

Memories & Heartaches - The Velvet BlueKentucky’s Velvet Blue has released a debut music video from their new CD, Memories & Heartaches. It’s for the song Once For Sadie, written by band members Brian Cooper, Carrie Johnson and Taylor Hampton.

Cooper is on guitar and lead vocal, Hampton plays mandolin, and Johnson bass, with Megan McKamey on banjo. Brandon Godman guests on fiddle, and Phil Leadbetter on reso-guitar.

Once For Sadie is an old fashioned mountain killin’ song about a boy who exacts revenge for his baby sister starving to death by shooting his father, “once for Sadie, and twice for me.”
