Good Ol’ USA from The Kody Norris Show

Event Details

The Kody Norris Show

Rebel Records is back with another star-spangled single from The Kody Norris Show ahead of their next album, Spirit of America, due June 26. Their patriotic fervor has been on display all year as they join in celebrating America’s 250th birthday in July.

Good Ol’ USA is one Kody wrote with a great pal of his, Larry Chun, a veteran writer and performer who Kody describes as a good friend.

“Whenever we start a new album, original material always rises to the top. One of my favorite writers, and one of my best friends, is Larry Chunn, and I asked him to help create a song with a little bounce that celebrates being proud to call America home. He knew exactly the direction I wanted, and together we paired it with a melody that really captures the American spirit.

This is one of my first steps into co-writing, and I hope y’all enjoy what we think is a dandy song!”

It’s a nice mid-tempo grasser which Kody sings with help of Mary Rachel Nalley Norris on mandolin and fiddle, Jim Hensley on banjo, and Charlie Lowman on bass.

Check it out.

Good Ol’ USA is available now from popular download and streaming services online, and to radio programmers from Get It Played.

Pre-orders for Spirit of America are likewise enabled.
