WSGS needs bluegrass CDs

For any bluegrass artists, labels or bands with some CD promos to spare, here’s a chance to help out some bluegrass-friendly radio folks in a tight spot.

Dwayne Amburgey hosts a 5 hour show each Saturday morning on WSGS FM, a 100,000 watt station in Hazard, KY. Their format features a mix of classic country and bluegrass, but Dwayne told us that the recent departure of a long-time bluegrass host resulted in them losing nearly all of their bluegrass recordings.

“For the last 8 years Goodtyme Production had a show on our station and made their extensive collection available to us for our regular programming. The owner took his CDs when our association ended, and left the station with only a limited few.

We are interested in receiving any CDs that labels or artists might be willing to send, including back catalog going back over the past 20 years.”

Promos can be sent to the station at:

WSGS-FM
P.O. Box 7428
Hazard, KY 41702
