Pinecastle Records has produced a music video for Trey Hensley’s new single, one that pairs him with fellow guitar slinger and vocalist Molly Tuttle on Going and Gone.
It’s one from Trey’s latest album, Can’t Outrun the Blues, written by Hensley and Bobby Starnes, which finds him teamed up with heavy hitters like Stuart Duncan on fiddle, Andy Leftwich on mandolin, Ilya Toshinsky on banjo, Marc Rogers on bass, and John Alvey on percussion.
We all remember Trey from his long association with reso-guitar master Rob Ickes, with whom he partnered as a duo for a decade. He was widely applauded for his soulful singing as well as his fiery flatpicking, but he was doing both on his own even before he and Rob hooked up.
Now officially a solo artist, Hensley and his talented band are touring aggressively this summer in support of the new album.
Check out the video he and Molly made in the studio.
Going and Gone, and the full Can’t Outrun the Blues album, are available now from popular download and streaming services online. Radio programmers will find the tracks at AirPlay Direct.
