Starr Moss departing Henhouse Prowlers

Starr MossChicago’s Henhouse Prowlers have announced the impending departure of guitarist Starr Moss after four years with the band. The Milwaukee native is heading back to Wisconsin to attend grad school.

He appears on their last three recordings, and has toured all over the world with the group.

The Prowlers shared this not with fans…

“It is with mixed emotions that we announce our dear friend and guitarist, Starr Moss, will be leaving the band in August to attend grad school in Madison. While we couldn’t be happier for his growth and career choice, we will miss him as both an outstanding guitarist and a great friend.”

Moss had a note for everyone he has met with the band as well.

“A few weeks from now will be my last show with the Henhouse Prowlers. I will be moving on to pursue a graduate degree at UW-Madison. This was not an easy decision to make, considering what an unbelievable ride this has been! Joining this band three and a half years ago, I would never have dreamed of going to the places we’ve gotten to visit.  Words can’t describe how grateful I am for these experiences.

I can’t think of a better group of people to have shared these experiences with. It’s been a blast traveling and making music with these guys and these friendships go beyond music. I wish them the absolute best and I’m excited to see where their travels will take them next.

To all the amazing people I’ve gotten to meet along the way – thanks for your support and friendship, and I hope to see you all again soon!”

Fans can check the band schedule for the last opportunities to see them with Moss online.
