Smile When You’re Alone video from Dan Tyminski

Dan Tyminski

The latest from Dan Tyminski is a solo track, a song he wrote with Jimmy Yeary titled Smile When You’re Alone.

It places Dan’s ever-so-familiar voice out front, supported only by his guitar, and shared in a music video recorded in his home studio. As you listen, the lyrics reveal a prayer of hope that a special person might live a life of fulfillment and joy. It could be for a dear friend, a child, or any loved one really, and it’s a beautiful sentiment, conveyed perfectly in song.

Of this simple concept, both for the song and its presentation, Dan says…

“This one felt right pretty early. Sometimes you don’t need to chase it too far — you just follow what the song’s asking for.”

What’s left to say but give it a listen.

Smile When You’re Alone can be found now on Spotify.
