Opry video of Outrun The Rain from Jason Carter and Michael Cleveland

Event Details

Jason Carter and Michael Cleveland

On December 2, Jason Carter and Michael Cleveland performed their hit song, Outrun The Rain, on the Grand Ole Opry with an all-star cast. A music video has been released today of this event, and we are happy to share it with our readers.

On stage with the two fiery fiddlers were Cody Looper on banjo, Joshua Gooding on mandolin, Frank Rische on guitar, and Norbert McGettigan on bass. Jaelee Roberts sang harmony, as she did on the audio cut, along with Vince Gill, as Jason handled the lead.

It’s mighty powerful. Have a look/listen.

The song, written by Terry Herd and Jimmy Yeary, is contained on the album Carter & Cleveland, which is nominated for a Grammy in the Best Bluegrass Album category for 2026.
