New site for Remington Ryde festival

Remington RydeThe Remington Ryde Bluegrass Festival in Pennsylvania has outgrown its original home at the Mifflin County Youth Fair Grounds in Reedville. Their 7th annual event in July 2013 will be held at the Centre County Grange Fair grounds in Centre Hall, about 17 miles north on Rt. 322.

Since the start in 2006, the festival has been hosted by Remington Ryde, and managed by the band’s guitarist and vocalist, Ryan Frankhouser. But what began as a way to help promote the band, and give their fans a chance to join them for a weekend, has expanded to the point where a new site was required.

Ryan says the move was his only option.

“I changed locations because I ran out of room in the park I was in. Also I wanted to find a location with full hookups and showers, and on these grounds they offer 1500 full hookup sites and brand new shower houses.

I started the festival when I was 22 years old. It has always been a dream of mine and its been a dream come true!”

It’s always good news when bluegrass events see this level of success.
