Missy Raines is offering a free download of her version of Christmas Time Is Here, written by Lee Mendelson, and popularized in the iconic TV staple A Charlie Brown Christmas.
The song was recorded with her band, The New Hip, and performed in a “chamber jazz” style, reminiscent of the 1965 arrangement on the program by the Vince Guaraldi Trio.

Missy has also announced the addition of a new musician to her band. Jarod Walker has come aboard to play guitar and mandolin, and help out with vocals.
Young Mr. Walker is from the Florida family of talented Walkers, which also produced brother Corey who was Sierra Hull’s original banjo picker in Highway 111.
