Jessie Baker jumps again

Event Details

Just weeks after being announced as the new banjo picker with Sierra Hull, Jessie Baker has detoured from Highway 111 to travel with Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver. He will start right away, filling the spot held for the past year by veteran grasser Dale Perry.

Baker never did a show with Sierra, and had spent the past several years touring with Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper. Hull expects to announce her new banjo player shortly.

Jessie will be featured on the next Doyle Lawson album, set to hit in late March. Reso guitarist Josh Swift will take over the bass vocals on stage.

Doyle is also happy to report that the group won the Gospel Group of the Year award at the SPBGMA convention yesterday in Nashville. We hope to obtain the rest of the results from SPBGMA this morning.
