Jenna Lea from the Chris Davis Band

Event Details

Chris Davis

Billy Blue Records and the Chris Davis Band have some new music for us today, another classic example of a sad song that makes you smile.

Chris, newly pursuing a solo career after many years of service as a side man with Joe Mullins, The Grascals, Junior Sisk, Marty Raybon and more, explains…

Jenna Lea was written by one of my favorite songwriters today, Conrad Fisher. This song tells the story of a happy guy in love that just doesn’t get it…..  until the end.”

It gives off a strong Lonesome River Band vibe, and adds a catchy call-and-response to the chorus, a bit rare in secular numbers.

Support comes from Davis’ touring band, Mason Crone on banjo, Swanagan Ray on guitar, and Zach Collier on bass, with Jason Barie on fiddle.

How does such an unpleasant topic make you feel so good? It’s bluegrass, baby!

Have a listen.

Jenna Lea is available from popular download and streaming services online, and to radio programmers via AirPlay Direct.
