January issue of Banjo NewsLetter

Don Nitchie just passed along some info about the latest issue of Banjo NewsLetter, the longest running publication of its kind.

In the January 2006 Banjo NewsLetter we feature David Talbot, banjo player with the The Grascals, who recently won the Emerging Artist award at IBMA. We also have a profile of folk-style banjo player Erik Darling, and our fifth installment of the quarterly section The Old-Time Way, co-edited by Dan Levenson and Bob Carlin.

We also have reviews of both the new Stelling and Huber banjo records (featuring tabs by Alan Munde and Greg Cahill) and a review of the Ron Stewart instructional DVD. Also our columns Exploring the Fingerboard, Adams County Banjo, Jimmy Martin Banjo, and Bob Piekiel’s visit to the Earl Scruggs “Banjo Man” exhibit.

For the MP3s that match this month’s tabs, visit our web site.
