January edition of Silver Strings now available

Silver Strings is an online banjo magazine, published especially for new pickers embarking on a study of the instrument in their middle to later years. The “ezine” is meant to be roughly equal parts informational, instructional and motivational, and a new issue is released monthly, in both a PDF and a DNL format.

The January 2006 issue includes a lengthy interview with banjo instructor Jack Baker, an overview of The Roanoke Bluegrass Weekend (with profiles of the 2005 RBW/Gibson youth scholarship winners), and a Q&A with banjo teacher Ross Nickerson.
