So many of our readers have enjoyed following the exploits of the Dietrich girl s from the Arizona Wildflowers as they pursue championships in both the music and rodeo worlds.
Today we have news about ten-year-old Isley, who is headed to perform on the Grand Ole Opry as part of her prize at the Smithville Fiddlers Jamboree, where she won first place on July 4 in the 12-and-under fiddle division. She netted the title of National Champion Country Musician, plus $200, and a chance to play the Opry with other winners later this year.
Isley isn’t the first of the Dietrich girls to follow this path. Older sister Ranelle, now 17, got to be featured on the Opry stage after taking first in the youth category at the 2024 Grand Master Fiddler Championship. It turned out that her Opry debut came on her 16th birthday. What a coming out party!
Ranelle wasn’t able to compete in Smithville, as she was riding for a world rodeo title in Oklahoma last weekend. She finished fifth in the world in Pole Bending on her trusty horse, Boots.
Many congratulations to them both.
Their mom, Tiffany, shared a few photos of Isley meeting some of her favorite artists at Smithville, and Ranelle with her buckle.
