- January 4, 1988 Recording session – During an afternoon session at Sound Stage Studio Bill Monroe recorded just one number, the instrumental Southern Flavor. The track features Tom Ewing [guitar], Blake Williams [banjo], Tater Tate [bass] and three fiddlers, Mike Fagan, Bobby Hicks and Buddy Spicher. The producer was Emory Gordy, Jr. *
