This information will include births and deaths; recording sessions; single, LP and CD release dates; and other interesting tidbits. Richard F.   • February 23, 1974 Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys appeared on a Saturday Night Special on NBC-TV.  The 90 minute show was hosted by Johnny Cash.
