The International Bluegrass Music Association has a couple bits of news to announce this week, both with a focus on cold hard cash.
They have an online sales seminar scheduled for April 19, designed to help anyone whose work in the bluegrass world involves selling. Entitled, Closing the Deal: Sales, it will be hosted by Mary Sue Twohy, an account manager who sells underwriting sponsorships for WAMU’s Bluegrass Country.
The webinar will run from 7:00-8:30 p.m. (EDT) on the 19th, and registration is $40 for IBMA members and $50 for non-members. Online participants will be engaged in both a live conference call and a “virtual classroom” environment on their computer.
Contact the IBMA office to sign up. [615-256-3222 nancyc@ibma.org]

- Acoustic Sound’s Wintergrass Youth Academy
- Bluegrass Heritage Foundation

More details about these grants can be found on the IBMA web site, and information about donating to the Foundation are online as well.
