Hot Rize touring this Fall

A Hot Rize reunion tour is being organized for late September/early October, with expectations for performances from Red Knuckles & the Trailblazers at each of the shows.

The tour will be managed by Keith Case & Associates in Nashville, who are accepting dates now for the southeastern US.

Founding members Pete Wernick on banjo, Tim O’Brien on mandolin/fiddle, and Nick Forster on bass will comprise the group, along with Bryan Sutton on guitar taking the spot originally held by the late Charles Sawtelle.

Wernick tells us that even after 30 years, he still welcome putting on the Traditional Ties.

“This is our tenth year with Bryan, but only our first southeast tour with him.

It amazes me sometimes, how Hot Rize started more than half our lifetimes ago, and here we are. The music is down in my bones by now… feels a part of me.

I’m glad the Trailblazers were able to get a suitable replacement for Slade, who disappeared. The new guy is named Swade.”

Details of the tour will be posted on the Hot Rize site as they are finalized.
