Grasstowne introduces two new members

Event Details

Alan Bibey contacted us last night with some big news from Grasstowne.

“Steve Gulley and I excited to be able to announce two of the new members of Grasstowne. On the banjo/vocals is Justin Jenkins, formerly of Blue Moon Rising. Everyone knows Justin’s playing and how great a player he is. Kameron Keller is our new bassist. He’s a great player already with tons of potential who currently is a student at ETSU. We’ll be announcing our 5th and final member in the next week or so.

We can’t wait for the fans to hear the new configuration! These guys are awesome musicians and we’re glad to have them in the band. We have been working on new material to be ready for this season and want to invite everyone out to our shows.”

Alan and Steve are the sole remaining original members, after Phil Leadbetter stepped down from the band in February, and banjo picker Jason Davis left for Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice at the first of April.

The new lineup will be on display next weekend when the band plays at Pickin’ In The Orchard in Summersville, SC and on April 22 at Willow Oak festival in Roxboro, NC. The guys are especially excited about a benefit show on May 1 for the New Kent Educational Foundation, a non-profit foundation established to support and enhance the New Kent County Public Schools, about 30 miles west of Richmond, VA.
