Goat Rodeo does Colbert

Last night’s (11/1) edition of The Colbert Report on Comedy Central included a web-only performance from the Men of the Goat Rodeo: Chris Thile, Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer and Stuart Duncan.

This quartet has recently released a new album of regional music, with the unlikely title, The Goat Rodeo Sessions, on Sony Masterworks.

Here’s video of them playing Quarter Chicken Dark from the CD.

During the show, they also performed Atta Boy

… and spoke with Colbert about their music.

Awfully nice to see the three who wrote the songs getting credit. It must be New York. In LA on the Leno show, they are only known as Yo Yo Ma and Friends.
