Free bluegrass coming to Phoenix

Event Details

Danny Paisley & the Southern GrassBluegrass lovers in and around Phoenix, AZ will get a treat when Porter Barn Wood celebrates a Grand Opening with their 1st Annual Bluegrass Festival at the 7th Street location. From 10:00 a.m. ’till 6:00 p.m. on November 5, there will be performances from Danny Paisley & the Southern Grass, Sierra Hull, and James Reams & the Barnstormers – and it’s all free.

Thomas Porter has launched Porter Barn Wood to offer reclaimed lumber and slab lumber, plus custom woodworking, milling, blacksmithing, and engraving services to folks in the area interested in today’s fascination with salvaged and restored heirlooms for their residential or business address.

And as a bluegrass lover, he figures what better way to get people out to his new facility than a free bluegrass festival? While the music is being played, there will also be workshops offered demonstrating some of the blacksmithing and woodworking techniques used in the shop. Visitors can also browse the many items Porter has on offer.

Bring your lawn chair and plan on spending the 5th with all your bluegrass buddies in Phoenix. Food trucks will be available on site.
