Claire Lynch OK after close call

Claire Lynch escaped injury in a frightening auto accident last night that occurred just as she was nearing the end of a weekend’s worth of touring with her band.

I’ll let her explained what happened.

“I was alone and had just dropped Matt Wingate off before heading toward my own home. We had been out working in west Alabama and the Memphis area.

It was a hit and run accident and according to witnesses the driver must have been drunk, but we don’t have details yet. There were folks that followed him and got his license plate number.

Anyhow, you know angels were there because although my van is totaled, I am completely unscathed with the exception of being sore from the impact. Very scary indeed – yet a series of circumstances which assured me God was watching out for me.”

Whew… close call.

There are many hazards to the life of a traveling musician, and this is most everyone’s worst fear. Let’s hope this driver is caught and can be kept off the roads for all our sakes.
